"The mark of a well educated person is not necessarily in knowing all the answers, but in knowing where to find them." —— Douglas Everett

"A little learning is a dangerous thing; Drink deep, or taste not the Pierian spring: There shallow draughts intoxicate the brain, And drinking largely sobers us again." —— Alexander Pope (1688-1744), Essay on Criticism, 1711

Welcome to the Reading Room of the Knowledge Center where you will find articles and papers organized by specialist topics related to the subject of investing. There is a mix of articles from the popular press (intended for lay people, colored blue) as well as technical and academic papers intended for the investment professional or those seeking more advanced reading material (colored red).

We have intentionally included early and seminal works to provide a historical context to the subject of modern investing. Please join us in the Issues section of the Knowledge Center for more current thinking.

There are links for the vast majority of the entries. Note that some of the papers are quite lengthy and may take a fair amount of time to download.
